Small Boat Rental Bodrum — The Most Flexible Way to Explore

Small boat rental is the most affordable and flexible way to explore Bodrum's stunning coastline. With a day boat or speedboat, you can reach hidden coves, snorkel in crystal-clear bays, and discover parts of the Bodrum Peninsula that tour groups never see — all on your own schedule, at your own pace.

No advance planning needed. No week-long commitment. Just pick up the boat in the morning and return it in the evening.

Available Small Boat Types

Speedboat / Fibreglass Day Boat (€150–300/day)

The classic Bodrum day boat. Outboard engine, space for 4–8 people, cooler on board. Available with or without a skipper.

  • Engine: 40–90 HP outboard
  • Capacity: 4–8 guests
  • Range: Up to 50km radius from Bodrum

RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) (€180–350/day)

Faster and more seaworthy than a standard day boat. Ideal for groups wanting to cover more ground or access more remote coves.

  • Engine: 60–115 HP outboard
  • Capacity: 4–10 guests
  • Top speed: 35–40 knots

Skippered Day Boat (€250–500/day)

All the freedom of a private boat — with an experienced local skipper who knows exactly where to go. Perfect for guests who don't hold a licence or simply want local expertise.

Licence Requirements

Self-drive small boat rental in Turkish territorial waters requires:

  • Turkish Licence (Yetki Belgesi) — OR —
  • ICC (International Certificate of Competence) — OR —
  • RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent national certification

Guests without a licence can hire a boat with a skipper — no paperwork needed.

Best Day Trips from Bodrum by Small Boat

Kara Ada (Black Island) — 20 min from Bodrum marina. Famous for its hot spring mud baths — guests cover themselves in warm volcanic mud and rinse off in the sea. A must-do.

Orak Island — 30 min. Crystal-clear water, vibrant seagrass, and excellent snorkelling. Often empty during morning hours.

Kargı Bay — 25 min. Peaceful pebble beach with a small fish restaurant. Great for a relaxed lunch stop.

Salih Island — 40 min. A cluster of tiny islands with turquoise water channels between them. Spectacular.

Akvaryum Bay — 45 min. Named for its incredible visibility — like snorkelling in an aquarium.
